The Results

Before & After

Healed results from real appointments — and everything you need to know to prepare and care for your own.

Preparation

Before Your Appointment

Arriving prepared makes a meaningful difference to your healed result. Please follow these guidelines in the days and weeks before your appointment.

Skincare — 2 Weeks Prior

Avoid Vitamin C, Retinoids, AHAs, Glycolic Acid, and any medicated creams on or near the treatment area for at least two weeks before your appointment.

Treatments — 2 Weeks Either Side

No lasers, peels, Botox, fillers, threading, or waxing on or near the brow or lip area within two weeks of your appointment — before or after.

Sun & Tanning

Arrive with no sunburn or fresh tan on the treatment area. Sun-damaged skin holds pigment differently and can affect the healed result.

Supplements & Alcohol — 24 Hours

Avoid blood thinners (including fish oil supplements), alcohol, and excess caffeine for 24 hours before your appointment. These can increase sensitivity and affect pigment retention.

Arrive Rested & Hydrated

A good night's sleep and good hydration both support the skin's ability to absorb pigment and recover after the procedure. Arrive as rested as you can manage.

Lip & Eye Preparation

Lip blush clients: if you are prone to cold sores, take an antiviral (such as Lysine or Zovirax) before your appointment. Eyeliner clients: remove eye makeup and lash extensions before arriving.

Aftercare

After Your Appointment

Your healed result depends as much on how you care for the area as on the procedure itself. Follow these steps for the first days after your appointment.

No Exercise or Sweating — 3 Days

Avoid strenuous exercise, saunas, or anything that causes heavy sweating for three days. Sweat draws pigment from the skin while it is still in the healing phase.

No Sun or Water — 3 Days

Stay out of direct sun and avoid swimming, baths, or prolonged water exposure on the treatment area for three days following your appointment.

Apply Aftercare Cream — 3 Days

Apply the aftercare cream provided by Era as directed for three days. This supports healing and helps maintain the vibrancy of the pigment as it settles.

Makeup OK — Avoid Treated Area

Makeup is fine to wear immediately after the procedure, but avoid the tattooed area for the first week. Let the pigment heal undisturbed before applying anything directly to it.

Do Not Touch, Rub, or Pick

Do not touch, rub, pick, or scratch the tattooed area during healing. Interference with the healing scab can remove pigment, cause uneven results, or introduce infection.

Full Aftercare Sheet Provided

A complete aftercare instruction sheet will be provided at your appointment. Keep it and follow it — particularly for the touch-up visit four to six weeks later.

Already Tattooed?

Previous Cosmetic Tattooing Welcome

If you have previous cosmetic tattooing from elsewhere, please let Era know before you book. Many clients come to Brows By Era for corrections and refreshes — Era understands the complexities of working with existing pigment and will advise on the right approach, whether that is an overlay, a correction, or removal first. You can reach out via the contact page or WhatsApp to ask before committing to an appointment.
